If there's anything my 11+ years in the corporate world and the last 6 years spent doing freelance work have taught me, it's that I have to be ready for anything my clients might need. Specialization is overrated. Today's jobs require us, freelance professionals, to handle different roles multiple times a day.

 

A client could need me to draft an email or write a 7000-word SEO-optimized article in the morning, and have me do quality assurance for a website we have to roll out later in the day. This is not a hypothetical scenario; this has happened.

 

Each of these roles equates to a host of challenges, and as a generalist, I welcome them.
